At LJL Church, we opted to use the New Living Translation of the Lord's Prayer from Matthew 6:9-13. We also added the doxology that is often included when we recite the Lord's Prayer. The goal is to know the intent of the prayer and recite it as we reflect on the words from the heart. A sermon is available that explains the details of the Lord's Prayer.
Our Father in heaven,
May Your name be kept holy.
May Your Kingdom come soon.
May Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us today the food we need, and
Forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us, and
Don't let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.
For the Kingdom and all the power and glory belong to You forever and ever. Amen.
